III. Bağlıköy Eco Day to take place on 11 May

Bağlıköy (Ambelikou) Eco Tourism Volunteers Association is organizing the III. Eco Day on Sunday in Bağlıköy the 11th of May.
According to the Bağlıköy Eco Tourism Associations statement the official opening of the Eco Day will be held at 10 am on the 11th of May. The Eco Day is aiming to revitalize the life in the village by promoting its natural and authentic values.
According to the statement many exciting activities will take place during the Eco Day. There will be a nature walk which will start at 9 am and a bicycle tour that will start from the Doğancı (Elye) junction and will end in the Bağlıköy village centre. During the nature walk the participants will have the opportunity to visit the bat caves and many other exciting spots.
The Association reported that professional and amateur photographers will have the opportunity to take pictures of the authentic architectural structure of the village. The Avona Rock which is the symbol of the village is among the spots where photographers will have the opportunity to enjoy capturing unique frames.
The participants will also have the change to observe traditional production Cypriot baskets, bread yeast and hand milling of cracked wheat alongside with reenactment of traditional Cypriot village weddings where duvets will be covered and traditional dance performances will take place alongside traditional live music and dance.
One of the stands will be dedicated to kids activities next to the other stands where the participants will have the chance to purchase handicrafts and grilled village halluomi.
Alongside the fun activities there will be many stands where kleftiko and many other examples of traditional Cypriot cuisine will be displayed and sold.
The Association also stated that every precaution had been taken in order prevent parking and traffic problems during the day.
