6th Walnut Festival kicks off in Lefke this weekend
The 6th Lefke Walnut Festival organised jointly by the Lefke Tourism Association, Lefke European University and Lefke Municipality, is taking place in Lefke this weekend.

The Slogan ‘Lefke is calling you’ will be inaugurated at Lefke shopping centre at 1000 tomorrow. The two day festival will have a music concert, folk dancing, handicrafts and a tour of the city as well as a competition for the famed walnuts in syrup.

The region is well known for having the most walnuts and carob trees. There are around 800 walnut trees in Lefke and 1 million are harvested annually.
