Around 16 Turkish soliders killed in PKK attacks in Daglica area
Turkey's armed forces said on Monday its F-16 and F-14 jets had struck 13 Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) targets, a day after the militants detonated explosives on a road in southeast Turkey in an attack that killed and wounded Turkish soldiers.

In a statement on its website, the military did not specify a death toll but the PKK said it had killed 15 Turkish soldiers in the bomb attack in the Daglica area of Hakkari province. One security source told Reuters that 16 soldiers were killed.

Separately many took to Twitter last night after the attack killing the Turkish soldiers in condemnation of Turkish President Erdogan. Erdogan was blasted on the social media site following a statement he made following the attack where many criticised him for his insensitive remarks.
