What a great big waste!
The front page report in KIBRIS POSTASI newspaper today looks at the situation regarding the e-state project.

The e-state project started by the previous Interior Ministry and with financing by the Turkey has been left to fall by the wayside by the current Minister Teberruken Ulucay. One leg of the project where by all the Title Deeds would be electronically kept has been left unfinished.

The project was started by the previous minister and not one penny has been spent from the TRNC budget towards this project. Apart from Famagusta and Nicosia where by the land registrations are computerised, not one move has been made for Kyrenia, Guzelyurt and Iskele.

The paper reports that several members from a group of experts from the Turkish land registry have already left and the others are leaving tomorrow as they are fed up waiting around to finish the project. The paper says that another project has ‘gone to the bin’ because one minister is failing to carry on with a project started by a previous incumbent.
