Students clash at CIU Spring Festivities
Groups of Nationalist ‘Grey Wolves’ and Kurdish students were at the centre of another fight yesterday evening.

The Cyprus International University which held its Spring Festival last night was the scene for an incident between ‘Grey Wolves’ students from CIU and Kurdish students from Near East University.

Some were injured in the fight and others were taken into custody. Some vehicles were also vandalised in the incident. The students are said to have attacked one another with stones and bats. Police teams were also in the cross fire at one point. Some students who took part in the festivities told the police that they heard gunshots.
