CMP brief representatives of EU in Brussels
The members of the Committee of Missing Persons briefed representatives of the EU in Brussels yesterday regarding the projects they are running and the funds and political support they require.

According to a statement from the committee, members were in Brussels last week where they met with members of the EP Budgetary Committee, members of the Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and representatives of EU member states.

The aim of their visit was to enlarge funds, aid and political support for their exhumation project. The members said that within the discussions they had, it was noted that the humane work must continue in order to help end the uncertainty for relatives of the missing. They also noted that the European Union was one of the biggest contributors of the CMP since 2006.
