14 regional airports to be sold off in Greece to Fraport-Slentel 14 regional airports in Greece will be sold to Fraport-Slentel joint venture for 12.3 billion euros as part of the first set of privatisations implemented by the Greek government, their gazette said on Tuesday.

 It is the first privatisation implemented under the SYRIZA government and is part of the memorandum ratified by the parliament on 14 August.  

 The airports that will be sold are Thessaloniki, Corfu, Chania, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Aktion, Kavala, Rhodes, Kos, Samos, Mytilene, Mykonos, Santorini and Skiathos.

 The Eurogroup approved the third package along with prior actions on Friday.  Greece is heading to a vote of confidence in light of losses in the party, which could lead to elections in September, as the loan disbursements will continue.

 The decision of granting of regional airports signed the Deputy Prime Minister John Dragasaki, Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos, George Stathakis Economy and Production Reconstruction Panos Skourletis.

 Bidder for the concession of regional airports for 40 + 10 years was elected the Greek-German consortium, which offered single price of 1.2 billion. EUR 22.9 million in annual rent. Each year submit euros, 25% of pre-tax , depreciation and amortization income and fees for CAA, reaching 1.2 billion. euros for the whole period of the concession, while committed to invest 330 mil. in the first four years and a total of 1.4 billion. euros for the next four decades .

 In today's post on Twitter, the President of the Association of Greek Tourist Enterprises (SETE), Andreas Andreadis called "positive progress on developing tourism," the finalization of the concession of the airports.

 The German company Fraport check in:

 31.35% in the federal state of Hesse in central Germany

20.02% in commercial and industrial Chamber of Hesse

8.45%, the German carrier Lufthansa

4.87% the Australian interests RARE Infrastructure Limited

The remaining 35.31% are in the free market.

 Although the concession decision has already signed and published in the official Gazette, Fraport spokesman told Reuters that the company itself has not yet signed the concession contract with the Greek State and it is negotiating with the government.

 "The Greek government took a decision as a basis for further negotiations," he told an international news agency spokeswoman.
